Dahlan Iskan : Electric Car Gives More Advantages

The Minister of BUMN, Dahlan Iskan, said that he will produce the electric car if the electric car can hold on for 1000 km without damage. Now, the electric car only can hold on for 300 km without damage, he said.

If the electric car will be produced, he said that the price of the electric car will be same as the price of the usual car.

He also said that he will ask PLN to build a SPLU ( Stasiun Pengisian Listrik Umum ) for the electric car. The process to build SPBU needs about 2 years, but to build SPLU only takes 1 week, he said.  And it only needs about Rp. 30 millions to build. If SPBU, it needs about Rp. 3 billions to build.

The SPLU also gives advantage to the electric car users. If they need to spend about Rp.300 thousands in the SPBU for a month. They only need to spend about Rp. 50 thousands in the SPLU for a month.

So, for Dahlan Iskan, the SPLU is easier to build than the SPBU, and it gives more advantages for the government and the electric car users.

The PLN officer, M. Sulastio said that PLN will cooperate with one SMK to build 24 SPLU in Jakarta.
